Step 1: Download the VLC media player here.

Step 2: Once the download is complete, double click the file to begin the installation.

Step 3: Follow the wizard. Click “Next” until the installation is complete.

Step 4: Launch VLC media player.

Step 5: Click on the “Media” button on the top left.

Step 6: Click on “Open Network Stream”.

Step 7: Input the M3U link provided by your IPTV service. For this guide, we will be using PlutoTV.

Step 8: Check the “Show more options check-box” to view additional options, then click "play": 

The most important thing here is the “Caching.” Caching is used if your internet connection is slow or unstable. The setting instructs VLC to store a certain amount of video on your PC before starting to play so that you always have a buffered video to avoid jerky playback.

Step 9: VLC will now begin playing the first channel in the M3U playlist:

Step 10: Click on the “Tools” menu button, then click on “playlist”. You could also press Ctrl-L on your keyboard.

This will show you the entire channel list provided by your IPTV provider. You can double-click on any of the listed channels to begin viewing.

Step 1: Download and Install VLC Media Player if you don’t have one.

Step 2: After installing, go to the Preference Menu by pressing ctrl+p for Windows and Command + P for Mac.

How to setup IPTV on VLC Media Player?

Step 3: In the Preference tab, you will find the Show settings section in the bottom. Click on “All” Radio Button.

Step 4: Now under Input/Codecs -> Video Codecs -> Select FFmpeg

How to setup IPTV on VLC Media Player?

Step 5: FFmpeg tab will open.

Step 6: Disable the Hardware decoding which is under decoding section of FFmpeg tab.

Step 7: Now Click Input/Codecs and scroll down to the bottom. You will find Network Caching which you have to set it to 3000 ms.

Step 8: Scroll up and in the Network settings section, you will find “MTU of the network interface”.

Step 9: Set it to 1500 for Cable or 1498 for ADSL.

Step 10: Click the "Save" button.

VLC is ready to play IPTV videos. Now follow the steps:

Step 11: Click on "Media" on the top of VLC and select "Network Stream"

Step 12: Enter the URL of your IPTV provider. (IPTV Provider will give you the URL.)

Step 13: Wait till the Channel loads and Select the Channel you want to see.

Step 14: Enjoy IPTV on VLC!
